Higgsino Production

The example SUSY model

  • We used softsusy-3.3.8 to generate a spectrum.
  • We then used susyhit-1.3 to generate the decay table from the spectrum
  • We then struggled a lot, until Alexis told us to use the madgraph web interface to translate the output from susyhit-1.3 into something that can be used as param_card.dat file in madgraph.

Hereís how to read this:
1 = X10
2 = X20
5 = X1+
7 = X1-

then you go to the last column and read off the cross section in pb.
E.g. X20X10 = 0.264 pb, X10 X1+ = 0.380 pb etc.
As you can see, two of the cross sections (X10X10 and X20X20) are negligible, and you can ignore these when you generate
events. The rest are all relevant.

The total Xsection summed over all production channels is ~1.6 pb.

Also, the second to last column is a less accurate calculation. The cross section mad graph calculates should be somewhere between
the last and second to last column. If it isnít then something is wrong.

Note that I did not bother to calculate in the original calculation the Xsections for production involving n3,n4, or x2.
