  • the average grade for quiz 1 is 66%. This is a B-, and thus a fair bit lower than I was shooting for.
• Quiz 2 will cover material from both Chapter 20 and 21. I adjusted the syllabus accordingly.
  • In Chapter 21, quiz 2 covers only up to and not including 21.8.
  • this is done in order to have a reasonable set of quantitative questions to draw from, and thus reduce the number of concept questions.
  • recall that the class average was kind of poor on quiz 1, and we attribute that to the large number of concept questions. So in quiz 2 we will reduce those, and see if this lifts the average.
