Notes on CMS DAQ upgrade tests

• Test 10GB/s ethernet for event building
  • e.g.send data from 10 PCs on 1GB/s ethernet to one PC with a 10GB/s interface
  • would be put into the DAQVAL
  • 10GB/s Linecard should be put into an existing Force10 switch

Things to test

• run netperf
• performance of TOE vs. non-TOE
• performance of event building ?
